The Grouchy Turtle is a 33.5″ Gemini 105M cruising catamaran, built by Performance Cruising in Annapolis. With a 14″ beam, she is just narrow enough to fit in a standard slip, unlike larger cats, although I prefer staying on the hook these days anyway. The Turtle has a mast height of 45′ and draws 5′ with the centerboards down. With the boards and rudders up, the draft is only 18″, allowing her to be anchored in extremely shallow water, and even be beached…just not stern up. Trust me on this one!
